This Friday (12th July 2024) will once again see the Annual Traditional Orange Lodge Parades taking place in Southport and Liverpool.

Paul Taylor, Provincial Grand Secretary Liverpool Provincial Grand Orange Lodge, said:

“This will be to commemorate the 334th  Anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne that took place in 1690.

“This year the Senior Officers will start the parade from Mill Street  in the Dingle.

“Hosted by St Paul’s Toxteth Non7 District they are joined by the Provincial Retinue made up of Juniors from that area. They have been looking forward to this day for many months and a lot of preparation by the parents and Junior Officers.

“This year nearly around 70 Lodges, including some Orange bands (accordion and concertina and pipe bands) along with juniors will take part in the parade.

“Many of the children will be dressed up as King William and Queen Mary.
