The family of Alice Dasilva Aguiar have praised her “magic, generosity, love, caring, joy, serenity, purity… Perfection!”

Alice, 9, has inspired her family to launch the new Alice’s WonderDance so that children can access dance, explore their passion, and grow through movement in a safe, empowering space.

They also worked with Churchtown Primary to raise over £350,000 to create a brand new playground and a brand new library at the school, where Alice was one of the pupils.

Sergio Aguiar and Headteacher Jinnie Payne were among people who completed the London Marathon as part of the campaign.

The family of Alice Dasilva Aguiar said: “We are approaching that date.

“Alice didn’t leave to leave us, but to stay forever.

“She is magic, generosity, love, caring, joy, serenity, purity… Perfection!

“Not a day goes by that we don’t miss her terribly, the weight of pain is getting heavier every day. And so it will be forever. Now we are living with the beautiful memories and thinking about what tomorrow would be like if nothing had happened.

“In these coming days we will be a little distanced and disconnected, please take the processing time into mind, we thank you for your patience and support.

“We really needed space to breathe, reflect, and focus on our pure love that only the three of us had.

“We are also thinking a lot about beautiful Elsie and beautiful Bebe, and their families, destiny brought us together for the worst reasons but our connection is pure and lasting, our hearts are in tune and our strength is focused in one direction, Our Girls, by them, for them and always with them. @elsiedotstory @bebeshiveuk .

“We also haven’t forgotten the others brave girls, adults, and their families who are also suffering from what happened. We send you so much love and strength.

“Thank you to all for trusting us; without your help, this wouldn’t have been possible. #churchtownplayground and @aliceswonderdance.

“Keep Dancing Princess, Mummy and Daddy love you and miss you every day.”

Alice’s WonderDance, is a foundation created and inspired by the name of our Alice Da Silva Aguiar who we tragically lost her life in the Southport attack. Since that day nothing has returned or will ever be the same again.

Her family said: “We don’t look back with sadness — we move forward with purpose, spreading the same energy and love that Alice brought to every space she danced in.

“We believe dance is more than movement, it’s freedom, creativity, connection, and joy. Our work removes barriers so that every child can access dance, explore their passion, and grow through movement in a safe, empowering space.

“To help bring this vision to life, We will count on the support of our incredible community, as well as Alice’s dad , Sergio. He will be taking on an incredible challenge: running all 6 Major Wotld Marathons in Alice’s memory, with love, determination, and the unwavering support of @elsiedotstory , another incredible cause close to our hearts.

“This journey is more than a physical feat, it’s a tribute, a mission, and a movement. Every mile he runs helps raise awareness and funds to support Alice’s WonderDance and the children we’re here to serve.”
