A new pop-up Christmas card and gift shop has opened inside Wayfarers Shopping Arcade in Southport town centre.
Yours Sincerely has been opened by Chris Newell and Sally Marquiss.
Chris Newell previously ran the popular Plaza Cards shop on the opposite side of Lord Street for many years.
Chris and Sally also run the Lily May bridal, prom and occasion wear shop, which they opened in Wayfarers Arcade earlier this year.
Their new Yours Sincerely shop sells a wide selection of Christmas cards, festive wrapping paper, Christmas boxes and more.
It is situated next to the new Southport Bazaar shop, which opened on the same day.
They are among a number of new businesses which have opened inside the stunning 126-year-old Victorian Arcade in recent weeks.
Chris and Sally said: “We are very well known from our time at Plaza Cards in Southport.
“Lots of customers have been asking when we’re going to be selling cards again.
“We are delighted to have opened Yours Sincerely, which is selling various ranges of Christmas cards, along with other things you might need in the run-up to Christmas.
“We will be open every Thursday to Sunday.
“We are really pleased to have opened.
“Lots of customers have been coming in to see us at our Lily May venture, saying they are struggling to get decent Christmas cards anywhere.
“There aren’t as many card shops around as there used to be.
“Wayfarers Shopping Arcade is the perfect place to be in the run-up to Christmas.
“It is such a beautiful space, especially when the Christmas tree and all the festive decorations go up. It looks so magical.
“We can’t wait for the Christmas grotto opening inside the arcade this year, it’s going to be really popular with families.
“Wayfarers Shopping Arcade has a really good vibe to it, we love it here.
“We’re looking forward to a busy October half term in Southport. We are really enjoying it here.
“We have opened Yours Sincerely as a pop-up shop for now, for the rest of this year, and we will see how things go. We just wanted to test the water and see what people’s response is.”
