A new networking group is launching in Southport this Thursday (18th September 2025).
That Woman Networking & Events takes place at Waterfront Southport Hotel on the Promenade, Southport, from 6pm onwards.
It is organised by Kim Antrobus, who said: “We want to let people know about a new networking group launching in Southport on Thursday 18th September at the Waterfront Hotel.
“Local businesses have dug deep to support this community driven group to support women in business and women-led business in Merseyside. I am the founder.
“The group welcomes all but the main focus is primarily women-led.
“The launch event is set to be well attended with over 70 people signed up, which shows a real thirst for something a bit different as well. The focus is community, diversity, business and fun!
“Our keynote speaker is Cheshire Woman of the Year ’23, Ije McDougall.
“Also speaking: Louisa Herridge (who trained to be a teacher in Ormskirk before becoming a storytelling expert), Sarah Clarke-Lees (serial entrepreneur and founder of That Alternative Studio), and myself – Kim Antrobus.

“Being a performer myself, I have also persuaded local performers Kitty Campari (Jen Ashton) and The La La Las (who recently performed at Southport Flower Show for a second time) to perform!
“We have guests coming over from Ireland (Creating Lightbulb Moments) and Crowberry Consulting – both showing their support by sponsoring.
“Other sponsors include Sarah Clarke-Lees, Elizabeth McQuillan (Flamingo Business & Flamingo Car Finance), Inclusive Minds UK, Vicki Head Photography, & Tonic Studios, Mediation Together.
“The charity of the night will be Queenscourt Hospice, which is running a raffle and will be receiving proceeds from selling What The Flowers table bouquets at the end of the event! Hayley Murray and Liz Hartley from Queenscourt Hospice will be attending.
“Also in attendance are local businesses such as Southport Journey’s Lizzie Barnett (exhibiting), Enhance Events, Waterfront Hotel, Fallen Angelz Boutique, DL Models, Event Well and Refined Marketing. There are also a great number of businesses from outside of the area. I really wanted to bring businesses into Southport as well as showcasing local ones!”
