Beautiful surroundings form part of the experience, with the real focus is on creating a home where people feel known, supported and able to continue living life their way, with space for privacy, companionship and shared experiences.

Westcliffe Manor is situated inside a beautiful Victorian villa which has been refreshed through a substantial renovation.

Original features, including the home’s stunning stained glass windows, have been restored and enhanced.

There has been investment in ensuring every aspect of the home meets modern fire and safety regulations, with new safety technologies introduced.

Westcliffe Manor previously operated as a nursing facility and has re-opened its doors as a residential home.

There are opportunities for both long-term residential care as well as short-term stays.

The first eight residents are due to move in shortly with inquiries for further spaces now welcomed. Tours of Westcliffe Manor are available.

The home has been fitted out to the highest standard, with a real warm and homely feel.

Residents can call into the salon for a range of treatments.

There is a lovely dining room with views looking out across the well-maintained garden.

There are eye-catching pictures on the walls, showcasing local landmarks such as the former Southport Sea Bathing Lake.

Dovehaven Chief Executive Officer Jenny Davies said:

“It was an immensely emotional and exciting day as we opened the doors to our newly refurbished Westcliffe Manor.

“It looks absolutely stunning and the team have worked so hard to make this come together.

“On our opening day one guest said it felt like being inside a small boutique hotel.

“This is a beautiful space where people can come in and live independent lives in a small and intimate community.

“I can’t wait for everyone to come and see it.”

Dovehaven Director of Operations Sam Yardley said:

“We are delighted to have completed the transformation of Westcliffe Manor, which we hope will be warmly received by people from Birkdale, from Southport, and from further afield.

“Dovehavan has invested a substantial amount to convert this property. We’re pleased to have introduced new features and new technology to ensure we comply with all current fire and safety regulations.

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to our team who have worked so hard over these past few weeks to create such an impressive space.

Westcliffe Manor offers warm, genuinely person-centred residential care, with over 40 years of family-owned care experience behind them.

It is a smaller, more personal place to call home

At Westcliffe Manor, people are respected as individuals with the Dovehaven team taking the time to understand what matters to each resident – their routines, interests, relationships and the things that make them who they are.
