A new community defibrillator has been officially unveiled at the Dowhigh offices by Sefton Council Leader Cllr Marion Atkinson.
Based on Park Lane West in Bootle the family-run Sefton firm, which was founded in 1975, has grown to become one of the largest independent public works companies and civil engineering companies in the region.
A Dowhigh spokesperson said: “We had the pleasure of welcoming Marion Atkinson, Leader of Sefton Council, to Dowhigh, where she officially unveiled our brand-new community defibrillator.
“Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. In those critical moments, quick access to a defibrillator can mean the difference between life and death.
“That’s why we are proud to install this vital piece of equipment – ensuring that our community has the best possible chance in an emergency.
“We would like to extend a huge thank you to Marion Atkinson for taking the time to visit us and support this initiative. Our directors, Michael Murray, Trevor Murray, and Brian Morrey, were honored to welcome her and express their gratitude for her involvement in unveiling this important addition to the area.
“At Dowhigh, we believe in giving back to the community and making a real difference.
“We encourage everyone to familiarise themselves with the location of local defibrillators – it could one day help save a life.
“Together, we’re building a safer, stronger community.”
