John Haynes

Tributes have been paid to Liverpool business mentor and life coach John Haynes.

John was the Managing Director of ICA, and was an expert in developing people and companies to maximise their performance.

His company offered a range of skills to suit people’s needs, whether they were a business owner, entrepreneur, business coach, employee, retiree or just someone looking for their next journey in life.

He aimed to help guide people he met into making the decisions that deep down they knew were right for them and looked to give them the tools they needed to adapt or overcome any situation, whether in their personal or business life.

The volume of tributes which have been left in his memory is a great testament to just how well he succeeded in doing that.

He was a keen networker and was well known in business circles in both Liverpool and Southport, as well as much further beyond.

Linda and family published their tribute to him which said: “It’s with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that on Wednesday 9th December my beloved John left us peacefully in his sleep.

“As you know John had been struggling health wise for a while now and while at home his own special Eagle called and John decided it was  time to fly higher than he had ever flown before.

“As you can expect we are all grieving as a family and would just like some days to spend time together remembering our John as a family.

“Thank you for all your kind words and thoughts for John over these past difficult months and please honour his memory by flying high with your own very special Eagles.

“Linda and family.”

Over the years, John has helped hundreds of people either starting out or looking to develop their businesses.

Dozens of people have left their tributes to him on social media.

Stand Up For Southport co owner and Social Media Academy owner Phil Gee said: “I’ve known John for over 10 years and as well as being a uniquely lovely guy, he was such a focal point of the local business networking world.

“He’s helped countless individuals to achieve things they would never have thought possible.

“He always had time for anyone and was full of positivity and joy.

“His ‘flying with the eagles’ is legendary and he has left a massive legacy across the region. He’ll be sadly missed by us all and I send my best wishes to his family. #RIP John”

Paul O’Hare, Managing Director at Paul OHare Design, Design Director at Mooboo Bubble Tea and Managing Director at Quality Decorating Services, wrote: “I am honoured to have known the man – what a massive inspiration and influence you have been on my life and many others!

“I have shed more than one tear today.”

Andrew Dwerryhouse, Managing Director at Wild Thang Limited, wrote: “Yesterday I lost a true friend, mentor and my very own hero John Haynes.

“I have met many great people in my time and in my opinion he was one of the greatest and helped me to be the best I can be.

“I will be forever thankful  for the times we spent together at work and play, your message was always the same – lead by example. I believe in you, you can fly with the eagles and don’t scratch with the turkeys.

It is with a very heavy heart that I say farewell to a true legend who will forever be in my heart, now it is his turn to fly with the eagles & soar higher than ever before.”

Knowsley Town Council councillor Vanessa Boateng-Ukoro wrote: “It’s sad to hear the passing of a great Scouser and the most bubbliest man I have ever known  – Mr John Haynes. I listened to his daily motivation videos just yesterday and I can’t believe he’s gone. The good Lord knows best. Rest in perfection dear John. Liverpool and the world has lost a great icon but heaven has gained an Eagle.”
