MasterChef stars John Torode MBE and Lisa Faulkner will head to Southport Flower Show this summer.

Visitors are in for a real treat and can see them both cooking live in the Cookery Theatre on Saturday 19th August 2023 at 12pm and 3pm. If that’s not enough and you want to see them up close and personal, they will be doing a live Q&A in the Garden Theatre at 2pm.

A hugely popular and influential figure on the UK culinary circuit, John Torode MBE is best known as the straight-talking co-host and judge of MasterChef and Celebrity MasterChef. A regular guest chef on This Morning, John also appears with his wife Lisa Faulkner co-hosting John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen on ITV.

John has been on culinary road trips, taking him back to his roots, for popular TV programmes – John Torode’s Australia, Malaysia, Korea, Asia & Middle East for UKTV / Good Food Channels & Argentina for BBC1. His latest show – John Torode’s Ireland – is out on Discovery Network and out on RTE Mid May.

Credited as a key in introducing Australasian food to the UK in the mid-1990s, John’s indisputable passion for the industry is infectious; he was awarded an MBE in 2022 for services to Food, Broadcast & Charity. His cookery books and writings have received huge critical acclaim, including the bestselling My Kind Of Food, and Sydney To Seoul.

Lisa Faulkner first established herself as a leading actress starring in numerous high profile TV dramas including Holby City, Spooks and Dangerfield. In 2010 Lisa won BBC 1′s Celebrity MasterChef and has since gone on a remarkable food journey.

In the spring of 2019, Lisa’s new cookery show launched on ITV, John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen – now in its 6th successful series, Lisa alongside her husband John Torode, continue to inspire audiences with great family recipes on weekend mornings. Lisa is also a regular contributor to ITV’s Lorraine having made a number of cookery strands for the show in 2020 – including Autumn, Winter Warmers and Christmas.

A talented and natural writer, in 2012 Lisa’s first cookery book was published, Recipes From My Mother For My Daughter and became an instant bestseller, reaching number one in The Times non-fiction list. Lisa’s second cookbook The Way I Cook was published in September 2013. Her third book, Tea and Cake was published in February 2015 and this was followed by From Mother to Mother, which was published in Spring 2017. In the early summer of 2019, Lisa Faulkner’s 5th and first non-cookery title was published by Ebury. Meant To Be tells Lisa’s personal story and discoveries to motherhood via IVF and ultimately adoption.

Of late, Lisa has been putting her love for recipe writing and presenting to good use, creating hugely engaging Instagram content, often alongside her husband – racking up millions of views along the way.
