The Southport Comedy Festival in association with Halliwell Jones Kia are delighted to announce their second big name for next year’s 15th annual Southport Comedy Festival under canvas at Victoria Park.
Award winning comedian and King of the one liner Gary Delaney will be returning to the festival with his brand new show entitled ‘Gary On Laughing’ on Friday 9th October 2026.

Gary is often described as the most quoted comedian in the country. His ‘nine minutes of one-liners’ on Live at the Apollo has been viewed over sixty million times online.
He was a regular on Mock the Week and has written for many TV programmes and other comedians.
Gary’s last tour Gary in Punderland which he performed at the festival in 2023 sold out, this will be no different, with shows already selling out nationwide. So grab your tickets early.
Gary is the second name to be announced for next year’s 17 day festival which takes place from Friday 2nd to Sunday 18th October 2026.
Comedian and star of TV Laura Smyth who has had a meteoric rise through the comedy ranks will be bringing her show ‘Born Agy’ to the festival on Thursday 15th October 2026.
The 15th annual Southport Comedy Festival will be staged for a sixth year in a giant luxury heated and seated marquee courtesy of Elite Events in the beautiful grounds of Victoria Park, home of the world-renowned Southport Flower Show.
Over six thousand people came to watch comedy at this year’s event, with a record nine sell-out shows, making it the most successful Southport Comedy Festival yet.

Gary Delaney’s last UK tour ran for two and a half years across 378 dates. People laughed a lot and kept coming back. His videos have hundreds of millions of views. So now he’s doing it all again with a brand new show. All new jokes and utterly splendid filth. Come along. It’ll be fun. Don’t bring the kids or people who like to get their knickers in a twist.
