A children’s shop in Churchtown in Southport has partnered with Murphy’s Sketches to sell a kindness print, with profits from all the sales going towards the Southport Swifties in partnership with the Alder Hey fund.

Owner of Tiny Treasures of Churchtown, Lauren Baker, has sold over 272 prints already after it was launched less than 24 hours ago.

The image, made by Instagram famous artist Kerri Cunningham, reads ‘Kindness Will Always Shine Through’ in the design of friendship bracelets, a symbol of the Taylor Swift fanbase.

The pair have had orders from all over the world, including New Zealand, with some teachers saying they will display the artwork in the classrooms in September due to the positive message.

Lauren said: “I asked Kerri from Murphy’s Sketches if she’d design a print for Southport to show our love and support for the victims.

“I stock her birthday cards and other prints, so I wanted to work and do something.

“Kerri has connections with Southport as she visits quite regularly so it’s something close to the heart. The profits will be split equally amongst all the families affected by this horrible tragedy.”

Lauren added how she felt ‘overwhelmed’ and ‘blown away’ for hitting such a large figure in a small amount of time.

She wanted to thank the community for coming together and displaying a real sense of Southport spirit.

Kerri shared the sketch on her Instagram page, she said: “Myself and Lauren at Tiny Treasures of Churchtown were horrified by the vicious attack in Southport on Monday.

“We wanted to do something to help the Swifties for Southport page which is raising money for Alder Hey hospital to support the victims, their families and also the vital work that they do.

“This community is truly heartbroken by the attack and the loss of such innocent lives.

“Let’s spread a message of kindness and to care for and look out for each other.”

Pre-orders are being taken until Sunday for the print which will be ready on the 7th August, via Tiny Treasure’s website here: https://www.tinytreasuresofchurchtown.co.uk/product/kindness-will-always-shine-through/696?cp=true&sa=true&sbp=false&q=false

The Swifties For Southport Just Giving page, which was set up by Cristina Jones and Holly Goldring, has raised over £330,000 since the tragedy at a Taylor Swift dance class for children.
