At Queenscourt Hospice, International Women’s Day is about more than a date in the diary. It’s a chance to pause and come together to reflect on the strength, generosity and determination of the women who shape our community every single day.
On Friday 6th March 2026, we’re proud to be hosting our International Women’s Day Celebration at The Grand, Southport, and we’d love you to be part of it.
The event is ideal for professionals, business leaders, community champions and anyone passionate about equality, collaboration and making a positive local impact. This year’s global theme, “Give to Gain” feels especially close to our hearts.

It’s about generosity in all its forms whether that be time, knowledge, support, visibility or opportunity, and the powerful ripple effect that follows.
When we give intentionally, we don’t lose something; we multiply it. When women are supported to thrive, everyone benefits. That belief sits at the heart of this event.
The event this year, sponsored by Churcher Estates, will feature a panel of inspiring local leaders who each bring a unique perspective on collaboration and community.

We’re delighted to announce the panellists:
· Dr Karen Groves MBE, Founder of Queenscourt Hospice
· Jordan Duggan, Group Director at EFT Group
· Andrew Brown, Founder of Stand Up For Southport
All three of this year’s panellists are passionate advocates for positive change and inclusive growth. By having a panel, rather than speakers, this year, we are hoping to open up the conversation and drive collaboration at the event.
As always, this event is as much about conversation as it is about listening.

It’s an opportunity to connect with like-minded people, share ideas and leave feeling energised and inspired to “give” in ways that create real and lasting impact.
The event will be hosted by West End performer John Coates, whose career spans over 30 years in theatre and international entertainment. Renowned for his warmth and versatility, John has worked alongside iconic figures including Michael Ball, Imelda Staunton, Jason Manford and Dame Vera Lynn.
Liz Hartley, Fundraising Manager at Queenscourt Hospice, said:
“After the success of last year’s event, we’re excited to be bringing people together again for a celebration that’s inclusive, uplifting and rooted in community.
“‘Give to Gain’ reflects the generosity we see every day at Queenscourt and we hope this year’s event inspires meaningful conversations and lasting connections.”
