Southport company Yaffé Photography has held its second Charity Ladies Lunch for the Isla Rose Foundation, raising a huge sum thanks to the kindness of its supporters.

Through the help of many generous people and companies, Yaffé Photography managed to raise a staggering £12,500 during its lunch at The Office Restaurant, on Hoghton Street in Southport!  The money raised is a big step towards the target of £28,000 to fund an exoskeleton style Trexo Robotic walking frame for young Southport girl Isla, who is just three years old.

Isla suffers from a very rare genetic, metabolic condition known as Nonketotic Hyperglycinemia.  There is currently no cure or treatment, only physical therapies to help Isla each day.

The robotic waking frame will teach Isla’s muscles the right movements to potentially aid her walking in the future.

As part of the fundraising towards their target, Yaffé Photography made an application to the Southport Community Link Foundation for additional funding and was rewarded with £3,000 towards the fund, this was a wonderful addition!

Isla’s mum Sarah Steel said: “I’m totally blown away! I’d like to give the biggest and most huge thank you to Adam and Sandra from Yaffé Photography for their time and effort and support putting together the most amazing day once again for Isla. Their kindness has blown me.

“I couldn’t be more thankful, they are both incredible. I couldn’t do this without them!”

Guests were treated to pink fizz on arrival followed by a gorgeous two-course lunch.

Local and well-known radio presenter Claire Simmo was the compere for the day and kept everyone digging deep into their pockets for Isla.

During lunch, talented magician David Burgess entertained all the guests with his amazing close-up magic much to the delight of everyone!

Adam Yaffé and Sandra Carney from Yaffé Photography said: “We are absolutely delighted to host such a fabulous event and couldn’t have done it without the support of so many local businesses and friends.

“We’re beyond delighted to have raised a total of £12,500 and will continue to help Isla reach her target to get her walking!”

Following the auction, the entertainment went into full swing with celebrity crooner Dave Broe who performed a host of popular classics to get everyone up and dancing.
