An iconic Churchtown shop is closing after two decades in the village.
Churchtown Interiors, a home accessories and giftware shop on Cambridge Road next to Churchtown Lights, will begin its closing down sale tomorrow.
Owner Tanya Preece was prompted to change how her business operates after enjoying a different pace of life during the coronavirus lockdown and delivering to her customers.
She said: “It’s the end of an era. After the most wonderful 20 years I have decided to shut my door and move Churchtown Interiors online.
“I have absolutely loved doing home deliveries over the last few months and will continue to do so.
“I have made the bestest of friends, met the love of my life and loved every day of my working life but it’s time for the next chapter!
“Sale starts tomorrow so feel free to pop in.
“Thank you to each and every one of you for your support, friendship, laughs, chats, tears, hugs and most of all cake! Love to you all and I’ll see you online.
“I have absolutely loved my 20 years here and made the best of friends.
“But during lockdown I found that I really enjoyed the slower pace of life and delivering to customers. It is time for me to move on.
“I am on Facebook and Instagram and a new website will be online soon.”
