Jordan Keane has signed for Southport FC

Southport Football Club are excited to announce the signing of Jordan Keane.

The highly-regarded centre-half joins the Sandgrounders for the 2024/25 season, following his recent departure from FC Halifax Town. 

Keane’s arrival marks Jim Bentley’s eighth signing of the summer period.

Jordan’s Journey From Derby County to SFC

Jordan arrives at Southport FC with a wealth of experience, having made 185 appearances in the National League and 145 appearances in the National League North. 

His most successful spell was at Stockport County, where he featured 148 times, playing his part in their National League & National League North title victories during the 18/19 & 21/22 seasons, and is regarded as a County legend today.

Prior to arriving at Edgeley Park, Keane started off at Derby County, before appearing for Stoke City, Lincoln City and Boston United, to name a few.

Keane now finds himself at The Big Help Stadium under manager Jim Bentley, reunited with former Stockport teammates Sam Minihan & Danny Lloyd.
