Region-based HFA Bridging & Commercial has confirmed its support for Queenscourt Hospice as part of this year’s International Women’s Day celebration, in a partnership that reflects both the firm’s professional values and its commitment to the local community.

International Women’s Day 2026 is set to take place at The Grand on Lord Street in Southport town centre on Friday 6th March 2026, recognising the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women worldwide.

This global event, whose theme this year is ‘Give To Gain’,  serves as a powerful call to action for advancing gender equality.

The sponsorship by HFA Bridging & Commercial forms part of HFA’s wider belief in supporting causes that align with care, compassion and opportunity. The principles that founder Helen says sit at the heart of how the business operates.

“Queenscourt Hospice plays an incredibly important role in our community,” Helen said. “Supporting them through International Women’s Day felt like a natural fit for us, both personally and professionally. It’s about giving back locally, while also recognising the contribution women make. Not just in business, but across society as a whole.”

HFA Bridging & Commercial is a female-founded business operating within the commercial finance and bridging finance sector, an industry that has traditionally been male-dominated. Since launching, the firm has focused on challenging perceptions within financial services and helping to create space for women to build credible, long-term careers in the industry.

That ethos has extended beyond leadership alone. Over the years, HFA has actively supported and empowered women to become qualified and authorised professionals, helping them progress with confidence while delivering expert advice to clients.

Alongside its community involvement, HFA Bridging & Commercial works closely with landlords, developers and business owners across Southport and the wider region.

The firm specialises in providing flexible funding solutions, including bridging finance and commercial lending. Often to clients who may not fit traditional high-street criteria.

From landlords purchasing their first buy-to-let property to experienced investors expanding established portfolios, HFA supports clients through each stage of growth, combining speed, flexibility and long-term planning.

Helen brings more than 20 years’ experience from the mortgage industry into the commercial space, allowing clients to benefit from both technical knowledge and strategic insight.

“Many landlords start with a single property and a long-term ambition,” she added. “Our role is to help them access the right finance at the right time, while also supporting growth over the years ahead.”

By aligning its commercial expertise with strong local values, HFA Bridging & Commercial continues to support businesses while championing diversity within financial services, making its support for Queenscourt Hospice and International Women’s Day a meaningful extension of the business itself.
