A fundraising brunch and dog walk in Southport has gone so well, that everyone involved is looking forward to doing it all again this Christmas.

The Hesketh Arms pub in Churchtown hosted the event on Saturday (28th September 2024) to raise funds for the Little Legs Dogs Rescue in Southport founded by Christina Mather-Bateman.

Keith from The Hesketh Arms said: “Thank you for a paw’tastic morning, it was my pleasure to host the Hesketh Arms first Dog Walk and Brunch fundraiser for the wonderful local dog rescue service for Christina and the team at Little Legs Dog Rescue.

“I hope you all had a lovely walk and a delicious brunch back at our pub.

“Thank you again to Penny’s House Cafe and Churchtown Pet Boutique and WagWater of Southport for donating goodies and experiences for our charming four legged friends.

“The lucky recipients of our personalised awards thoroughly deserved them.

“Keep your eyes peeled, as this isn’t a one time event, lookout for our festive themed dog walk coming in December supporting again our friends at Little Legs Dogs Rescue.

“If our guests that joined could kindly leave me some feedback via Google reviews, I’d greatly appreciate it: https://g.page/r/CVWSF4Hsi-6zEAE/review”

Dog walkers met outside the Hesketh Arms pub in Churchtown at 9am before strolling to the beautiful Botanic Gardens for a lovely stroll with their four-legged friends.

After the walk, they returned to the Hesketh Arms for a delicious brunch – with doggy brunch options for pups too.

There, they enjoyed the chance to win one of the four personalised dog trophies in the categories of Prettiest Boy, Prettiest Girl, Best Tricks, and Waggiest Tail.
