Genting Casino in Southport is back open again today after lockdown restrictions were eased this week.
The attraction, on Southport’s Promenade, next to Bliss Hotel, has been closed since the coronavirus pandemic struck in March.
On Thursday night Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that play centres, casinos, indoor theatres and music venues in Southport and around the UK are finally allowed to reopen this weekend, while beauty salons, tattoo studios, spas and barbers across England will be able to offer all close contact services
A Genting Casino spokesman said: “We are very pleased to finally have been given the green light to open and are looking forward to welcoming customers back.
“Over the past few months, we have been working tirelessly to ensure all our venues up and down the country are Covid secure to provide our returning customers with the safest and most enjoyable environments possible.
