Fletchers Group is pleased to announce the promotion of two experienced legal professionals, Michelle Heyes and Gillian Lakes, to Directors within its Serious Injury division, Serious Injury Law.
The appointments recognise the significant contributions both women have made to the business and reflect the Group’s ongoing commitment to nurturing homegrown talent and strengthening leadership across the North West.
Michelle Heyes, who joined Fletchers in 1992, has played a pivotal role in the development of the firm’s Serious Injury capability. Widely respected for her calm and considered leadership style, Michelle has led the department since 2022, guiding teams handling some of the most complex and high-value personal injury cases in the UK.
Gillian Lakes brings over 25 years of experience in serious injury law. Since joining Serious Injury Law in 2018 and becoming part of Fletchers through its 2024 acquisition, she has led the Bolton office, earned promotion to Associate and then Partner earlier this year.
In their new roles as Directors, Michelle and Gillian will take on increased strategic responsibility for the growth and development of the Serious Injury division – overseeing team performance, supporting legal excellence, and helping shape the long-term vision for serious injury services across the North West and nationally.
