People have enjoyed their first chance to have a sneak peak inside the new restaurant opening soon at Ocean Plaza Leisure in Southport.
Rado’s World Tapas is Southport’s first world tapas bar and restaurant, offering small plates from around the globe packed with flavour.
The new local, independent eatery is officially opening its doors on Tuesday, 19th September 2023, in the former Chiquito’s building.
But this weekend, with 40,000 visitors flocking to town to enjoy the 2023 Southport Air Show, it has welcomed customers for the first time as a pop-up restaurant.
Rado’s World Tapas is presenting a special pop-up Southport Air Show food menu with a choice of burgers and loaded fries, with a choice of draught, wine, cocktails and soft drinks.
They said: “Going to the air show this weekend?
“We have created a temporary menu and will be open as a pop up from 12pm-5pm on Saturday and Sunday!
“As we get close to launching Rado’s World Tapas, we’ve decided to bring some amazing burgers and loaded fries to keep you fuelled during the two day event.
“If you fancy taking a load off for a while to regenerate, follow the link below to book or pop in on the day.
“We are located in the former Chiquitos building
“We open fully with the Rado’s menu on the 19th September. Book to avoid disappointment, especially for our ABBA night on 23rd September from 8.30pm!
“We hope you have a great weekend, stay safe.”
Rado’s World Tapas will bring flavours to tempt everyone’s tastebuds in the old Chiquito unit, which has been closed since 2020.
Stand Up For Southport revealed earlier this month how Kaspa’s Desserts will bring its mouth watering hot and cold desserts into one half of the former Frankie & Benny’s unit this autumn, while early 2024 will see Kaspa’s expand into the other half of the unit with gyros and kebabs adding to the wide range of food and leisure offered at Ocean Plaza Leisure.
Ocean Plaza Leisure is looking forward to a bumper crop of new tenants this autumn, after welcoming Coastline CrossFit & the Wareing Brothers in July – the new faces just keep on coming.
Starbucks is due to open late October, with Southport’s first drive-through, just in time for pumpkin-spiced season.
Tracey Johnson, Tenant Liaison Manager for Ocean Plaza Leisure, said:
“We’re delighted to welcome so many new tenants to Ocean Plaza Leisure this year and are looking forward to a very tasty end to 2023.”
The new additions will add to the vibrant leisure and hospitality offering already at Ocean Plaza Leisure, which includes Vue Cinema, Tenpin bowling, Playtown children’s centre, Roberto’s Italian restaurant, Everlast Gym, Nando’s restaurant, Subway sandwich shop and Evans Cycles.
