Eyes down! People of all ages can enjoy “a good clean night of fun” when a Comedy Bingo night takes place in Southport this autumn!

The event takes place in the Festival Marquee at Victoria Park on Thursday, 6th October, as part of the 2022 Southport Comedy Festival

The night will see funds raised for Queenscourt Hospice, which cares for around 2,000 families every year across Southport, West Lancashire and Formby.

You can get tickets here.

Comedy Bingo is a highly interactive show hosted by comedian and Southport Comedy Festival director Brendan Riley – described as “bouncy and engaging” by The Scotsman.

Doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 8pm, with tickets £10 each, and an age restriction of 16+ PG. It is sponsored by One Plan.

Brendan Riley said: “Eyes down for a fabulous night of fun(draising) for a fantastic local charity Queenscourt Hospice with this truly hilarious and unique event!

“The Comedy Bingo night is looking really good, with lots of tickets sold already. People are going to enjoy a great night!

“I have been organising these shows since 2015 and have proved to be really popular.

“It is fun, it is clean, it is a really good night out for people of all ages, from 16 to 70!

“You can bring your kids, you can bring your Nan, bring the whole family down!

“If there is a group of you coming, whether as a family, or work colleagues, please let us know and we’ll make sure we sit you all together.

“We have some really good prizes for the raffle, and would like to thank all the local companies which have donated so far.”

Brendan is a huge support of Queenscourt Hospice and is delighted to be supporting the charity at this year’s Festival.

He said: “There are so many people across Southport, West Lancashire and Formby who have received excellent care from Queenscourt over the years. Where would we be without it?

“My best friend was cared for in there sadly.

“The last two or three years has been devastating for so many charities. Some charity shops across the UK have closed, and big fundraising events have not been able to go ahead. Organisations like Queenscourt really do need and deserve our support.

“It is great to see charity events and festivals such as Southport Comedy Festival now back once again, and we hope people come out and enjoy it.”
