The legendary Southport Comedy Pub Crawls return to town this week, to light up Southport with smiles during these winter months.
People looking for a great night out are invited to meet at Southport Market from 6pm for a 7pm start this Wednesday (10th December 2025).

Revellers can enjoy a total of four different comedians in four different Southport town centre venues, with the locations to be discovered on each mirthical mystery tour courtesy of Sefton Council’s Tourism team and Big Comedy UK.
In total there will be five bespoke trails across Winter 2025 and Spring 2026.
Each pub crawl will be hosted by Southport Comedian Brendan Riley, of Big Comedy UK, who is working alongside Sefton Council to make each event a success, He said:
“Tickets have been selling well, and we’re all really looking forward to the return of the Southport Comedy Pub Crawls!
“It’s a brilliant way to enjoy a fun night out in Southport with four great comedians for just a fiver – across four different Southport town centre venues.
“The locations are all sorted – but it’s a mystery exactly where we’re going until the night itself!
“We hope people enjoy trying out some new places. We really want to showcase just what Southport has to offer, and to encourage people to perhaps try them again if they like what they see.
“If you can’t make our first comedy pub crawl, don’t worry – we’ll have another one coming up in January and then more coming up into the early months of the new year.”
Altogether, between December 2025 and April 2026, fifteen different venues will host the Southport Comedy Pub Crawl project, providing a much needed boost to hospitality revenue in the town centre during the winter period.
Cllr Paulette Lappin, Deputy Leader of Sefton Council and Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Employment and Skills, said:
“We know lots of people and businesses have been asking if the comedy crawls would return after their last run in 2019 so we are delighted to have been able to make sure they do!
“The crawls are a brilliant way of discovering what Southport town centre has to offer this winter and support our wonderful local businesses who need that extra boost during what is traditionally a slightly quieter period.
“It’s fair to say the demand for the crawl’s return has been substantial so I encourage people to secure their tickets quickly before they sell out!”
