They are available on the gate on the day or in advance via: Home | Southport Football Club

Emergency Services Fun Day organiser Steph Dagger said: “Following the tragic events of last summer, I wanted to do something to help bring community cohesion, increase much needed positivity and footfall into our town. Hence myself and colleagues came up with the idea and I’ve been lead coordinator for the event.

“FC Sandgrounders was formed as a result of the tragic events last summer. I as chairwoman, along with other grassroots coaches, wanted to create a community football club for all having seen first hand the cathartic benefits the sport had for children post trauma.

“I approached Southport FC, who were instrumental in supporting the community as a whole last summer and asked if they would like to work collaboratively to use football to help bring the community together.

“Darren Court and Andy Burgess at Southport FC have been instrumental in helping to bring the event together and allowed us use of The Big Help Stadium to host the Emergency Services Charity Football day.

“We’ve also  invited the below local businesses / stall holders to the event to promote their businesses and to build community engagement.”
