Party’s over as Southport pubs, cafes and restaurants told to shut
“Please do not attend if you are vulnerable/elderly and instead send someone on your behalf. If this is not possible call us on 01704 532578 and we can arrange delivery where we are able to.
“Payment by card is preferred and don’t forget your bags.
“Together we can beat this.”
Bold Hotel owner Andrew Mikhail, head of Mikhail Hotel and Leisure Group, reacted quickly to open the facility after the recent panic buying surge left many key workers and vulnerable people without the supplies they needed.
He was also keen to support his suppliers and to help the local community.

A Bold Hotel spokesman said: “We would like to support the communities that have supported us over the years, and so in light of recent events we are offering our function room as a shop for all of the key people running our public services, the administrative occupations that are essential to the effective delivery of the Covid-19 response and the elderly and vulnerable within our community.
“Those involved in food production, processing, sale, distribution and delivery are also included.”
Mikhail Hotel and Leisure Group is the leading driver in the regeneration of The Northern Quarter on Lord Street. As well as The Bold Hotel, they have recently opened The Lord Street Hotel and Punch Tarmey’s Irish themed bar.
