The Dune Radio Easter Egg Appeal with Ocean Plaza Leisure Southport is back for 2025!
As the days get longer and the weather gets that little bit warmer, we are reminded that spring is bursting upon us and it will soon be Easter.
Dune Radio have launched their 2025 Easter Egg Appeal with the help of The Mayor of Sefton, Cllr June Burns and hope to better the 2024 donations and they need your help to achieve that. Last year’s appeal saw them bring together and deliver almost a thousand Easter Eggs to Alder Hey Children’s Charity and Sefton Children’s Trust, giving a much needed boost to a great many children in the area.
This year, Dune Radio has once again partnered with a host of generous organisations across Southport, including Linaker Primary School. The campaign is again, kindly being sponsored by Ocean Plaza Southport.
There are several donation points for Easter Egg drop off – Starbucks, Coastline CrossFit, Vue Cinema and Everlast – all based at Ocean Plaza Leisure Southport. Plus if you belong to a community group, school or even a workplace that would like to do their own collection, and you need help getting your toppling pile of eggs to a drop off point, just contact the team at Dune and they will arrange a collection for you. Simply email studio@duneradio.co.uk
To help with all of the collections and deliveries, Dune Radio has once again enlisted the help of the amazing team at Southport College. Ensuring that every single precious egg gets to its recipient intact!
Dune Radio Content Director, Andy Hilbert said:
“We’ve worked with the wonderful Tracey and the team at Ocean Plaza Leisure every Easter for the last seven years, collecting and donating many thousands of Easter Eggs to Alder Hey Children’s Charity. It truly is a delight to be doing this once again and the smiles we see when we deliver the massive selection of eggs really does make it worthwhile”
The deadline for donations is Monday 14th April – so please ensure that you drop your eggs off before then or arrange collection for group donations in time.
As an extra special treat this year and alongside the Easter Egg Appeal, Dune Radio and Ocean Plaza Leisure are running an Easter Egg Colouring Competition for Children and Schools locally. The entry form can be downloaded from the website – simply print and colour it in for a chance to win some ‘eggciting’ prizes including a £20 gift card for Kaspas and Vue Cinema tickets.
