Dovehaven has welcomed another care home into the group, with the acquisition of Callands Care Home in Warrington.

This is the firm’s third new home in just the last two months – it is growing fast!

Callands will become Dovehaven’s biggest care home yet, boasting 120 beds.

While the home has a history of an ‘Inadequate’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Dovehaven says it is not worried, as it boasts a fantastic track record of taking wonderful care of residents, and is fully committed to bringing Callands up to the same high standards it has in all its homes.

This latest addition marks Dovehaven’s third acquisition in the last two months, solidifying its commitment to growth and exceptional care in the North West.

Dovehaven has previously purchased Avonleigh Gardens Care Home in Oldham little over one month ago.

Soon after, Dovehaven completed its purchase of Ashton View nursing home in Wigan, also acquiring this home from HC-One.

For over 40 years, Dovehaven has been all about providing exceptional person-centred care and making sure residents have fulfilling lives.

It is confident that with investment in Callands, from the facilities to the colleague training and resident programs, it can make Callands a truly thriving care home once again.

Dovehaven CEO, Jenny Davies, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Callands Care Home to the Dovehaven family. While we recognise the work needed to improve the home’s CQC rating, we are confident in our ability to deliver the transformative changes Callands deserves.

“We are committed to investing in the care facility, employee training, and resident well-being programmes to ensure Callands thrives once again.

“We are excited to embark on this journey with the dedicated Callands team and residents, and we look forward to building a bright future together.”

This is a big step for Dovehaven, and it shows how committed it is to being the absolute best in elderly care across the North West.
