People can hear more about how and where hundreds of millions of pounds in both private and public investment are transforming Southport, Bootle and elsewhere in Sefton over the coming years. 

Big projects taking shape or due to happen include the Marine Lake Events Centre, Bootle Strand, The Cove Resort Southport, Southport Enterprise Arcade, Southport Market Quarter, Southport Eastern Access, and more. 

Invest Sefton and Sefton Council are hosting a Business & Partner Engagement Event 

On Thursday, 20th February 2025, between 8am and 11am at The Lake House in Waterloo.

Speakers will include Marion Atkinson, Leader of Sefton Council, local councillors and Tony Howard from GSL – the developer of The Cove Resort Southport. 

A spokesperson said: “Sefton Council as an organisation, and Sefton as a place, will see hundreds of millions of pounds of capital investment over the coming years, across our regeneration, estates and highways programmes, comprising a range of exciting projects (both Council-led and private sector-led).

“Come and join us at this event to hear more about these developments and learn more about the economic, social and environmental benefits.”
