Born and educated in Southport, popular North West artist, Daniel Adler, has never been afraid to broadcast his consuming passion for art.

A graduate from Southport College of Art, Daniel’s first art mentor was Southport artist, Phillip Beril, whose art group he attended between 1986-98.

Diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome when he was 15, Daniel is proof that no disability can stop a person from doing amazing things and succeeding at the very highest levels.

Believing that his creative ability was amplified, Daniel is a firm believer in never allowing circumstances define who you are.

He said: “I believe it to be a gift that has enabled me to develop and focus my art in my own personal and unique style”.

Keen to raise awareness and dispel misconceptions, Daniel has delivered talks on the subject, including to the pupils at a local school in Altrincham.

During his career to date, his amazing talent has not only featured in solo exhibitions around the region but has resulted in his work being shortlisted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London.

In 2015 Daniel became the resident artist at the award winning community project  ‘Art with a Heart’ in Altrincham.

He said: “I have my own studio space and have participated in a number of arts projects including ‘plein air’ painting of a football match at Altrincham Football Club as part of a diversity and inclusion event”.

Daniel is often approached with commissions including a recent request from a synagogue in South Manchester to commemorate the 150th anniversary of its Jewish community that is now on public display.

Lately, Daniel has gravitated towards intricate pen and ink drawings and his complex patterned spirograph technique, reminiscent of M.C. Escher’s mathematically inspired optical symmetry, has proven to be a very popular addition to his ever-increasing portfolio.

This solo showing by Daniel Adler is certainly not one to be missed.  Catch it while you can.  The work will be on display at the ArtHouse, Eastbank Street, Southport from 24th January – 5th February 2023. The gallery is open Tuesday – Friday 10.00-15.00.  Saturday 11.00-16.00.
