Local business leaders in Sefton came together to hear from two great speakers at the latest CASA (Community Anchor & Sustainable Alliance) meeting in Southport.
The event took place at the Southport Flower Show offices in Victoria Park in Southport, where guests heard from NHS Net Zero Project Manager Allison Sathiyanathan and Dairy Holistic Hub owner Sharon Stock.
The Hearth directors Rebecca Armstrong and Nadia Speers-Robinson said:
“We’d like to say a big thank you to Alan Adams and Southport Flower Show for their continued support of CASA – Community Anchor & Sustainable Alliance.
“The Flower Show is a fantastic space to host our meetings and provides a welcoming, inspiring environment for local collaboration.

“This month’s CASA session focused on Health, Happiness & Sustainability, bringing local business leaders and organisations together to explore how our environment impacts health and wellbeing.
“We discussed the NHS’s plans for a greener public health service, explored the effects of stress on the nervous system, and had the opportunity to experience simple techniques for calming and regulating it.
“Thank you to Allison Sathiyanathan and Sharon Stock for their engaging and thoughtful presentations, and to the wonderful Southport businesses and organisations who continue to show up, share openly, and push for positive, sustainable change in our town.

“We’re grateful to work alongside partners like Southport Flower Show who help make these conversations — and connections — possible.”
The Hearth CIC is a community organisation based in Sefton that hosted its first big event, Earth Day, at Wayfarers Arcade in Southport in April 2025.
This free, family-friendly event celebrated sustainability and empowered attendees with practical ways to save money on energy bills while making a positive impact on the planet.

Plans are already underway to create an even bigger Earth Day event for 2026 as well as for another Great Big Green Lunch.
