BBC Radio Merseyside Breakfast Show is live from Southport this Friday as David Walshe hosts the Southport Quiz

You can listen to the BBC Radio Merseyside Breakfast Show as it’s broadcast live from Southport from 6am-10am this Friday (21st March 2025). 

Kevin Duala and the Breakfast team will be on air from Southport Community Centre on Norwood Road in Southport.  

A BBC Radio Merseyside spokesperson said: “We’ve been celebrating our communities as nominations for the 2025 Make a Difference Awards are open.

“We’re checking in with previous winners and finalists and also just finding out about the great things that go on in the community of Southport.”

You can also take part in the Southport quiz! 

Local historian David Walshe, who writes the Secret Sand Land blog, social media sites and talks, will present the Southport Quiz at 8.35am. 

How many questions will you get right? 

The quiz master is on air at 8.35am setting the questions.

David will then be  back on air just before 9am to recap and give answers.
