Massam and Marshall Independent Funeral Directors in association with Leyland Road Methodist Church warmly welcome you to join them for their annual bereavement service in Southport.
This special service will be held on Sunday 3rd December 2023 at 7pm at Leyland Road Methodist Church, on the corner of Leyland Road and Roe Lane, Southport PR9 9JQ.
This will be the third year of the increasingly popular service where visitors are invited to join together in a multi-denominational service to honour loved ones passed.
This year will include guest speakers, live singing, music and a chance to light a candle in memory.
The event is free to attend but if so desired, donations will be gratefully received and will be split evenly between Derian House Children’s Hospice and Leyland Road Methodist Church.
The event is a yearly culmination of the regular friendship cafes held at both the Southport and Parbold Branches of Massam and Marshall which provides support to members of the community.
Massam and Marshall Managing Director David Massam said:
“The bereavement service is now a regular community event and participants need not have used our services and may be remembering loved ones from this year or from many years ago.
“With the church, we provide a warm space and an evening of reflection which has been so beneficial to participants in the past so please do come along.”
Minister of Leyland Road Methodist Church, Rev Sonya Marshall said:
“We are so pleased to be able to work with Massam and Marshall again to provide this wonderful service and offer comfort and support in the run up to Christmas which can for so many people, be such a difficult time.”
The monthly friendship cafes are held on the first Saturday of every month from 10am until 1pm and anyone is welcome whether they have needed the services of Massam and Marshall or not.
