Access Point in Southport has donated £30,000 to support 26 local schools.
The funding will help schools with things like providing school equipment, supporting wellbeing, or carrying out repairs.
Access Point CEO David Robertshaw said:
“Schools aren’t just classrooms — they’re the heartbeat of Southport, full of dedicated teachers and staff working tirelessly to give our children the best possible start.
“But let’s be honest: this time of year can be tough. Budgets are tight, needs keep growing, and schools are constantly stretching every penny that little bit further.
“This year, Access Point wanted to help ease some of that pressure. So, together with our team, we’ve provided £30,000 in funding to 26 local schools — with no strings attached.
“Our only wish is for schools to use it where it matters most: topping up supplies, supporting wellbeing, or fixing small things that make a big difference.
“Supporting local schools is something we’ll always believe in — it’s about giving back to the community that gives us so much.”
Birkdale Primary School Headteacher and Co-Chair, Southport Learning Partnership, Nick Sheeran said:
“We’re proud to support the people who make our schools thrive. If this donation makes things even a little easier, we’re glad to have played a part.
“A huge thank you to Access Point for the generous donations supporting schools across Southport.
“Our children sit at the heart of this community, and your contribution truly makes a difference, especially during financially testing times.
“Your kindness sets a brilliant example for other local businesses.”
