Excitement is building ahead of the first ever Beer on The Pier beer festival this weekend!
This new Oktoberfest themed event will take place between 1pm and 9pm this Saturday (20th September 2025) with a real family atmosphere.
It is organised by Southport Hesketh Round Table and supported by Silcock Leisure Group, with all proceeds raised going towards the local community.
Beer On The Pier will take place on the section of Southport Pier, running alongside the Marine Lake, which has remained open and offers beautiful views across the lake and Kings Gardens.
The team at Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant next to the Pier will be in Oktoberfest costume in lederhosen and dirndls, with visitors in German themed fancy dress welcome!
Pre-booked tickets are available for £15 each which includes three pints of beer. Otherwise, pints of beer will be available for £6 per pint.

Admission is free with people welcome to walk in on the day.
There will be a selection of German food available, including bratwurst and a choice of German lagers from Wigan Beer Company.
There will be live music with local singers entertaining guests.
Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant and The Balcony Bar will be open as normal, serving their famous fish & chips and other food and drink.
Silcock Leisure Group Operations Manager Serena Silcock-Prince said:
“Everything is looking good for the Beer On The Pier festival this weekend! We’re looking forward to it.
“There’s been lots of interest, and it’s a brilliant idea for a new event by Southport Hesketh Round Table.
“We will have three different German beers on offer along with German bratwurst, chicken schnitzel burgers, and Black Forest doughnuts.

“We have some fabulous entertainment with performers including Kelly Bond, Banjo Ukuleles, Catch 22, Alice Jacobson, Yasmin Wilding, Nisa Condron, and others to be announced.
“Tickets have been selling very well and we’ve had a great response to all the posts on social media.
“You can save money through buying in advance, although people are also welcome to walk in on the day too.
“We have really enjoyed working with Southport Hesketh Round Table to put this event together.
“It’s going to be a brilliant day with all proceeds raised going to support the local community.”

Event organiser Dave Ward from Southport Hesketh Round Table said: “It’s going to be a fabulous event, and we would love to see people come and join us on what will be a really fun day.
“All money raised will be going to a fantastic cause, and we’ll have a family friendly atmosphere.
you will end up saving money, plus we’ll get a good idea on numbers.
“It has been great working with Serena Silcock-Prince on this event, she has been really helpful.
