A beauty queen who was diagnosed with a hereditary heart condition at just 26 years old has shown determination and selflessness as she raised over £60,000 for local charities including the British Heart Foundation, Claire House and Zoe’s Place.

Brittany Feeney, who has represented Sefton in several competitions as Miss Sefton, also gives her time freely to teach and lead dance workshops.

She has her own platform – KIID (Kindness and Inclusion In Dance).

Brittany, from Maghull, has been honoured for her tireless work by being honoured as a Finalist in the Sefton Arts Award category sponsored by Fitton Estates at the 2025 Grand Pride Of Sefton Awards.

This year’s awards, held at The Grand in Southport, saw a record response from the community with over 2,000 nominations.

To be selected from such a huge number of worthy entries meant that this year’s winners and finalists had to be truly outstanding to stand out.

Brittany Feeney believes that every child should have the opportunity to experience performance regardless of gender, disability or financial disadvantage.

It is why she set up and runs KIID (Kindness and Inclusion In Dance).

Brittany was recently touring as Cinderella and provided free places for disadvantaged children to attend her performances.

Earlier this year she was crowned Miss Supranational UK 2025.

From a young age, Brittany was driven by an indisputable passion for the arts. From the moment she attended her first ever musical theatre class she aspired to one day make the arts her career. Now at the age of 26, she is a professional performer with a first class honours degree from one of the most prestigious performing arts schools in her country, LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts) whose patron is Sir Paul McCartney.

Her stage credentials include performing at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023 as a back up dancer for the artist Rita Ora, reaching an audience of 162 million viewers around the world.

As well as raising over £60,000 for charities such as the British Heart Foundation, Claire House and Zoe’s Place, Brittany has also participated in fashion shows for Woodlands Hospice and has provided care packages to Rowan View Hospital.

She has recently been a judge on a Strictly Come Dancing charity event for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and has been asked to dance this year.

The Grand Pride Of Sefton Awards are organised annually by Mikhail Hotel And Leisure Group and Stand Up For Southport with media support from In Demand Radio, with each of the 13 categories sponsored by supportive local businesses.
