Colleagues at Josph Holt pubs have been thanked for supporting the Elsie's Story charity in Southport

Colleagues working for the Joseph Holt chain of pubs in the North West have been thanked for raising over £8,000 for the Elsie’s Story charity throughout March.

Teams at the pub company, which includes The Imperial and The Richmond pubs in Southport, held events that raised a huge £8,387.16.

Jenni Stancombe from Elsie’s Story said:

“I just want to say a huge thank you to the amazing Joseph Holt chain and all their pubs across the North West who spent the whole of March raising money for Elsie’s Story. Not only did the brilliant teams get behind this doing everything from car boot sales to bake sales, but the customers were unbelievably generous with their donations and messages of support.

“We’re so grateful to every single person who made this incredible donation possible.

“A special shout out to Jess at the Hayfield in Ormskirk, who brought Elsie’s Story to the attention of the wider region and has supported us personally since the very beginning. Thank you so much, Jess.

“You’re helping us spread smiles as big as Elsie’s.”

When they launched the Elsie’s Story charity, Jenni and Dave Stancombe said: “We want to continue Elsie’s ‘story’; her positivity, love for others and energy of life…..

“The Trust has been established with the principle objective being to make grants to causes in Elsie’s name, the focus of which will be assistance to young people and support for others in the community and across the region.

“This will include community projects, medical care and support for individuals and families, good causes involving fun, and bringing the community together.”

“Elsie was the most caring and generous little girl and we have promised to not let this awful tragedy be in vain and creating this trust is the start of this.”
