Sefton Council is looking forward to celebrating Foster Care Fortnight (15th – 28th May).

This year’s theme is #FosteringCommunities

A Sefton Council spokesperson said: “This time each year there is a national focus on fostering when we shout out about how it makes a massive difference to children’s lives and highlight how we desperately need more carers in Sefton.

“Members of Sefton’s fostering team and our carers will be out and about in Southport across the two weeks for a fostering ‘take over’.

“We’ll be talking to people about how they can join our ‘fostering community’.

“We’ve also teamed up with the fabulous ‘Cake Corner’ so we’ll be bringing some mouth-watering treats to give out.

“Please come along and find out how you can do something amazing and change a child’s life.”
