Churchtown Village will celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III this May with a special royal party.
The King’s Feast will take place on Botanic Road between 2pm and 8pm on Sunday 7th May 2023.
A spokesperson for the event said: “This exciting event is brought to you by the ‘Churchtown Christmas Switch On’ planners!
“We have some amazing things planned to celebrate King Charles III Coronation!
“There will be a Royal Parade for anyone to take part!
“Dress up in your ‘regal outfits’ and parade with marching drum! Children, pets and yourselves to meet at St Cuthbert’s Church at 3pm!
“Royal Dog Show – bring your pooch to weave around the agility course, show off their best tricks and compete in Best in Show! Prizes to be won
“Crown Jewel Hunt – find the jewels hidden around the village and complete the crown to be in with a chance to win £250! Start the search from 11th April!
“Street Party – vibes with trestle tables, food, drink and live entertainment throughout the day!
“It’s set to be a day you won’t want to miss!
