A dog grooming business owner says she is excited to find new business premises after being “hit hard” by the Covid-19 lockdown over the past few months.
Olivia Gillingham owns The Dog House, a grooming salon which she says is “is the ultimate retreat for the pampered pet”.
She has welcomed hundreds of happy customers into her premises on Manchester Road over the past few months.
Now she is looking forward to starting a new chapter at Slaidburn Business Park in Marshside.
Olivia said: “As my customers know, I have had a lot going on lately.
“The past year has affected all of us in different ways. The last lockdown really hit me hard and I was struggling to find any motivation at all.
“I felt like a failure with my business, even though it was out of my control that I was unable to work.
“The Dog House on Manchester Road is now closed for good. I won’t go into detail but all I can say is THANK YOU for all of the support I’ve received such lovely messages that really kept me going. This is a positive change and something I really need to do for myself.
“I’ve worked way too hard to let it all go, and I’m a strong believer in ‘everything happens for a reason’.
“We are now relocating! I have stumbled across a wonderful place, and I will now be located inside Doggie Designs Grooming and Day Care at Unit 1, Slaidburn Business Park, Slaidburn Crescent, Marshside in Southport.
“It’s a beautiful space, free from cages, and a lovely calm one to one grooming experience. And Reggie loves it too!
“I will still be grooming your dogs and I am still classed as The Dog House. I am simply just based somewhere else.
“I will be contacting everyone who was booked in to rearrange appointments, and send you the new address. If you do want to message me then please feel free, please also be patient while I get through all the messages
“I am really excited to start this new chapter and I’m looking forward to you all starting it with me.
