Up to 25 new local jobs have been created as The White House Southport opens.
The former café and clubhouse, at Southport Golf Links, on Park Road West is now welcoming customers.
It opened its doors to the public on Saturday (20th May 2023) as a brand new bar and brasserie.
It is operated by Sefton Hospitality Operations Ltd (SHOL), which already runs the Lake House in Waterloo and operates the Beach House concession at Ainsdale Beach.
Open seven days a week, The White House will welcome guests for everything through breakfast, lunch and dinner, to afternoon tea and cocktails.
Local residents have been intrigued to see the work taking place over the past nine weeks.
Sefton Hospitality Operations Ltd Chair Kellie Rixon MBE FIH said:
“We have been inundated with interest from people since the renovation work started taking place.
“Every day there have been 20 to 30 people calling in to ask how we are getting on, and to tell us they are so glad to see this beautiful building being brought back into use.
“We have received lots of good luck cards from people living nearby, they are really looking forward to seeing what it’s going to be like.
“The regeneration of The White House will be a fantastic boost to the area.
“We have taken a three-year agreement on this building as we can see that this is a great opportunity to provide something unique, not only for Southport but for the North West.”

It’s not just builders who have been hard at work.
Danny Bache is the Head Chef, having previously worked at The Lake House in Waterloo.
He has been hard at work perfecting the menu and the dishes, aiming to guarantee a wow factor for visitors.
House Manager will be Matt Millbanks, a Southport resident who is leading the front of house team.
The White House will employ a team of 20 to 25 local employees, with flexible hours available.

Kellie Rixon MBE FIH said:
“Sefton Hospitality Operations Ltd is an exceptional employer. We have very high retention rates at The Lake House and we aim to achieve that at the White House too.
“We pay higher than the Living Wage, with a great benefits package.
“That is really important to us – we want to be respected in the Liverpool City Region as a good employer.”
SHOL was created 18 months ago with a mission to provide exceptional customer experiences at great facilities, while meeting the needs of the area’s residents and businesses.
The White House is one of a collection of properties that is being considered for redevelopment as part of a long-term strategy for reinvestment.
The team has plans to launch a further venue coming later this year at Bootle Town Hall, and is again operating The Beach House, food and drink concession at Ainsdale Beach.
